About KYMIRA®

Mission

To continually seek the very front edge of human-centred technology, developing innovative wearable solutions that support performance, recovery, and everyday wellbeing.

Vision

To unlock human potential through advanced textile technology that helps people live, move, and perform at their best.

Purpose

To regenerate global health by advancing science-led wearable innovation and reinvesting in ongoing research and development.

Where It Started

KYMIRA® was founded in 2013 by athlete and biochemist Tim Brownstone after an injury during his international sporting career prompted him to explore ways to accelerate recovery and rehabilitation.

While researching recovery science, Tim discovered NASA studies on the use of infrared light and its effects on biological growth in space. This insight led to the concept that infrared technology could be applied to human performance, cellular activity, and recovery on Earth.

Following several years of academic collaboration and product development, KYMIRA® was established to bring infrared textile technology to market, backed by scientific research and real-world application.

Tim continues to collaborate with leading global institutions on ongoing clinical research and is internationally recognised as a speaker and entrepreneur, including appearances at TEDx, the Ambrosetti Forum, Kairos Society, and Henley Business School.

Technology

KYMIRA® operates at the forefront of wearable innovation, holding multiple patents, trademarks, and trade secrets across its developing technologies.

The brand currently focuses on infrared and filtration product lines, with additional advanced e-textile innovations in development for future release.
